No Boundaries to Mark Making

There is no stopping the children in preschool and their play outside in the wet. The children put on their coats and enjoyed our Manx weather with enthusiasm.  Learning opportunities are everywhere in Victoria House Nursery and children will find all sorts of ways to practice their mark making skills.  These photos of some of the examples where the children were making letters in the bubbles as well as drawing pictures in the foam with various tools from brushes to rolling tyres across the surface.  The learning during these activities is phenomenal for literacy (making letters in the foam), math’s (using different types of brush, comparing volumes of water to bubbles and size as well as comparing weights of the tyre’s) to physical (moving objects around our paved play area) as well as expressive arts and design (pictures in the foam with a story of course).  Everyone had great fun.
