We’ve been awarded Beacon Status!

In January we had a visit from our Verifier, Jayne Adamson for the Manx Quality Award. After her visit her findings were then taken to the Awarding Panel and we are absolutely delighted to announce that we have again been awarded “beacon status” for outstanding practice. Jayne had given extremely positive feedback after her visit and Tina Moore who has been our Mentor for this Award stated that the Awarding Panel were very impressed with our practice.
The Manx Quality Award (MQA) is an Island produced quality assurance scheme for early years provision initiated by the Isle of Man College with the support of the Department of Education in Children. This scheme provides the opportunity for teams to evaluate their practice and identify the impact of high quality care and education for children and their families.
By gaining this prestigious award this has been a true reflection of the staff team’s continued commitment and growth mind-set to improve outcomes for the children in in their care.
A massive big thank you to all the staff at Victoria House Nursery – well done.
We now look forward to a Celebration evening at the Isle of Man College.
