We are delighted to share that our children have raised £1,000 for the Children’s Ward at Noble’s Hospital through a Sponsored Jog held in May.
Over the course of five days, 58 children took part, collectively running 100 kilometres around a 30m track within the grounds of Victoria House. Each child ran an average of 1.7km, equivalent to 57 laps, with several children surpassing 100 laps. The highest recorded was an extraordinary 154 laps.
This initiative was more than a fundraising effort; it was a meaningful opportunity for our children to experience perseverance, teamwork and the joy of giving back. Their energy, resilience and enthusiasm were a genuine inspiration.
We were delighted to present a cheque to Steve Zybert from the Friends of Noble’s Hospital, who accepted it on behalf of the charity.
At Victoria House, we are committed to nurturing not only a love of learning but also a sense of social responsibility. Teaching children that even the smallest actions can make a meaningful difference is fundamental to our ethos. Through efforts like this, we aim to foster empathy, compassion and a deep-rooted connection to our Island community.
We extend our sincere thanks to our families for their encouragement, generosity and support.
