We’re pleased to share the outcome of our most recent annual nursery inspection, which took place on 13th January 2026 and was carried out unannounced.
Victoria House Nursery received no recommendations following the inspection. Whilst this is the exacting standard we set for ourselves and work towards every day, it remains an extremely rare outcome within early years inspections, particularly on the Isle of Man. It provides strong, independent confirmation that our approach to early years education and quality is consistently meeting the highest expectations.
The inspectors were exceptionally complimentary about the quality of care provided, the learning environment and the experience of children and families within the nursery. Their feedback reflected the calm, nurturing atmosphere across the setting, the strength of relationships between staff and children and the professionalism and skill of the team. This is not the result of preparation for inspection, but of consistent, thoughtful practice that underpins daily life at Victoria House.
A significant part of the inspection process involved direct feedback from parents and carers. Inspectors placed considerable weight on these responses, and several comments from families were referenced within the report itself. We are sincerely grateful to those who took the time to share their experiences so openly. Your trust, honesty and partnership are central to everything we do and help shape the service we provide.
While we are proud of this outcome, we see it as a responsibility rather than a finish line. High-quality childcare and early years provision require continual reflection, investment and improvement. We remain committed to evolving our nursery environment, strengthening practice and ensuring every child at Victoria House benefits from the very best start in life.
